Three Kings: January 5th. The parade of the Three Wise Men from the East, featuring floats decorated with Christmas motifs.
Fiestas de San Antoni y San Sebastià: These take place in January, when all of Mallorca lights bonfires. Next to the Calvià Vila church building, the largest bonfire is lit, where a devil effigy is burned. Smaller bonfires are also lit nearby where locals roast “butifarrones” (sausages) and “sobrasada” (a traditional Balearic sausage).
Carnival: A few days before Easter, carnival celebrations are held in all the towns of Calvià. There are costume contests, a carnival for children, and another one for adults.
Easter Sunday: Christians celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ on the third day after His crucifixion.
San Joan: Celebrated in June, it is a festival held across the island. Friends and families head to beaches and coves to enjoy a dinner by candlelight.
San Jaume: Celebrated in July in Calvià Vila, this event lasts for a whole week, with numerous activities in the village. The main goal is to have fun and encourage participation from the community. There are many activities for both children and adults.
Fiestas del Rey Jaume: A variety of events are held, with the most emblematic being a re-enactment of the landing and battle between Christians and Moors on the beaches of Santa Ponça.
Summer Festivals: During the summer months, each area of Calvià holds its own local festivals. These are great opportunities for neighbors to meet and for local organizations to participate, whether they focus on cultural, sports, or other interests.
